Breast Cancer Awareness

October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. Every year one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States and 2.3 million worldwide.

Men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer. About 2,710 American men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and about 530 are expected to die from the disease.

Breast cancer awareness month is used as a reminder to promote screening and prevention, learn more about breast cancer, the risk factors and how to minimize them for you and those you love.
